Why did you start training?

To build up strength and endurance to a level that would help me hit my ultimate goal of running across America. I also needed mentors leading up to, during and after my run. 

What benefits has the training given you?

It has helped me build both mental and physical strength which has paid a huge part in completing my goal. I have also learned that the correct diet is essential.  

One phrase that sums up the training?

Difficult, but very enjoyable and rewarding. 

Trainer's comments

To run 3100 miles in 100 days is quite simply phenomenal. I have never met a person with that much mental toughness! He has become a true Geordie hero.
